Regarded as “the backpacker’s club”, Scary Canary is an intimate venue featuring a #bar, #kitchen and dance floor. Located on Kent Street right next to multiple #hostels, it's no coincidence that the Scary Canary crowd features an abundance of #backpackers, whilst weekly deals and events also draw in a large group of university #students.

If you’re feeling bold in the middle of the work week, Scary's Wet Wednesdays feature a range of alluring benefits including free entry, $6 drinks for #students, games and wet shirt competitions so you can really put yourself out there. Scary Canary also parties well into the weekend with #happy #hour on Fridays from 4-6 pm and top-quality #DJs from 8 pm from Thursday to Saturday.
The Cliff Dive

As a university student, Side Bar often provides quality events with student parties. O-Week events at Side Bar have been an extreme highlight of my first year out of high school, due to the quality lineup and sweet student drink #deals to fuel many trips to the dance floor.

The Ivy Precinct is nestled right across from Wynyard station, providing eager patrons with a diverse range of bars and restaurants to kickstart the night with. The Ivy Poolclub is located at the top of the building, featuring cabanas, #beach chairs and #cocktails for you to enjoy before hitting the #dance floor. Adjacent to the club is Uccello - a modern #Italian #restaurant that’s perfect for a lavish #dinner with your group before heading out for the night.
For the cooler months, defiantly check out Ivy’s indoor #bar - especially on a Thursday evening. Ivy Thursday is one of the most anticipated #clubbing #events of the week for young people due to the sheer size of the venue, diverse music lineup and #cheap entry. Don’t be surprised when you see a line snaking outside the venue mid-week!
